Seating Fabrics

Performance Textiles

Comfortable, luxurious yet durable fabrics for all types of aviation seating.

Seating Fabrics

Our Seating fabrics for aviation are lightweight, tightly woven and highly durable – providing comfort alongside resistance to abrasion, perfect for high-contact surfaces.

These fabrics can be used across all types of aviation seating – passenger, pilot and flight attendant.

Like all Replin fabrics, our Seating products can be re-designed to fit your brand’s requirements, ensuring uniformity across the aircraft interior.

Features and benefits

Replin fabrics are smartly designed to provide a range of performance benefits.

Tensile strength

Tensile strength testing measures a fabric’s ability to withstand being pulled or stretched without tearing. Our Seating products have strong tensile properties, meaning they hold up well when tightly stretched over seating cushions, saving on the cost of repairs.

Abrasion resistance

Seat covers are one of the highest-contact areas of a cabin, and need to frequently be removed for dry cleaning. Able to withstand tens of thousands of rubs, our fabrics maintain their texture and structure, withstanding frequent cleaning and prolonged passenger contact and providing long-lasting quality and a consistent aesthetic.

Colour fastness

Replin fabrics are rigorously tested for colour fastness, which measures how well the fabric retains colour when exposed to various stressors, such as water, rubbing and light. Our fabrics achieve excellent colour fastness results, helping the fabric maintain its appearance for longer.

Flame resistance

All Replin fabrics meet the rigorous standards for flame retardancy, smoke emissions, toxic gas emissions, and heat release, as required by aviation authorities including FAR, Airbus and Boeing.

Anti-pill

Pilling occurs when small, fuzzy balls form on a fabric’s surface due to friction, which can make upholstery look worn or aged. All our fabrics are tested for pilling and achieve excellent results, helping the fabric to maintain a smooth, professional appearance over time.

Wool

This natural fibre provides excellent acoustic insulation – essential for a comfortable journey. Wool is also known for its inherent fire resistance, and provides a warm and soft feel, ideal for long flights.
