Vertical Surface Fabrics

Performance Textiles

Durable, stylish wool-blend fabrics for vertical surface applications.

Vertical Surface Fabrics

Our vertical surface fabrics for aviation provide high durability and excellent acoustic properties.

Both our Eclipse and WNN qualities are renowned for their combination of technical appearance and luxurious finish. These fabrics combine flame-retardant Nomex fibres with natural wool, ensuring they surpass safety requirements without sacrificing appearance.

Features and benefits

Replin by Hainsworth fabrics are smartly designed to provide a range of performance benefits.

Tensile strength

Tensile strength testing measures a fabric’s ability to withstand being pulled or stretched without tearing. Our vertical surface fabrics have strong tensile properties, meaning they hold up well when tightly stretched over panels or walls. This also means the fabric stays in place without sagging or wrinkling, saving on the cost of repairs.

Abrasion

Able to withstand tens of thousands of rubs, our fabrics maintain their texture and structure, withstanding prolonged passenger contact and providing long-lasting quality and a consistent aesthetic.

Colour fastness

Replin fabrics are rigorously tested for colour fastness, which measures how well the fabric retains colour when exposed to various stressors, such as water, rubbing and light. This helps the fabric maintain its appearance for longer.

Flame resistance

All Replin fabrics meet the rigorous standards for flame retardancy, smoke emissions, toxic gas emissions, and heat release, as required by aviation authorities including FAR, Airbus and Boeing.

Nomex

Nomex is a high-performance meta-aramid that offers excellent flame resistance, helping the fabrics to meet standards and providing superior safety for aircraft interiors.

Wool

This natural fibre provides excellent acoustic insulation – essential for a comfortable journey. Wool is also known for its inherent fire resistance, and provides a warm and soft feel.
