We are thrilled that Replin by Hainsworth have been shortlisted at the 2025 RedCabin Trinity Awards for our Tundra and Cocoon fabric concepts. The collections are nominated alongside other leading industry brands in the Sustainability Concept category.

The fabrics in Tundra and Cocoon incorporate undyed wool yarns to create attractive, high-performance fabrics with a reduced environmental impact. The yarn dyeing process typically uses vast amounts of water and energy, as well as producing chemical effluent which must be isolated and treated. By using undyed fibre, the overall energy and emissions from the manufacturing process are significantly reduced – the fabrics in Tundra and Cocoon have a 17.3% lower carbon footprint than standard Replin fabrics. The collections are a more sustainable offering that don’t compromise on technical performance or aesthetic appeal.

The natural shades of sheep and alpaca wool offer a warm, soft finish and an attractive colour palette, giving the fabrics a classic, timeless appearance. The collections are in line with wider hospitality design trends for more natural finishes like exposed wood and stone, helping to create a relaxing, calm atmosphere.

The collections are both made up of existing Replin fabric qualities, specifically our Eclipse and Passenger Seating fabrics, meaning that they are tried and tested products that are proven to perform. These qualities can already be found in some of the world’s leading airline cabins and are renowned in the industry for their performance.

The RedCabin Trinity Awards will be announced in Dublin on the 3rd of December. To read the full list of finalists, see here.
