In our Steadfast Seating collection, we are excited to include hemp fibres in a Replin by Hainsworth fabric for the first time. Hemp is easy to grow, using relatively little water and not being reliant on pesticides, making it a highly attractive prospect for businesses seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. Hemp also has hardwearing properties, making it an excellent option for high-contact textiles such as seating. In this collection we have incorporated a mixture of dyed and undyed hemp fibres with sheep and alpaca wool to create sustainable seating textiles that do not compromise on appearance, durability or comfort.
The 5348 range uses an undyed worsted warp and a natural alpaca weft to create a subtly textured fabric in a deliberately rustic style.
In the 5345 range undyed woollen warp is combined with a dyed hemp, wool and nylon weft. The fabrics in the range have a warm comfortable textile finish and are highly resistant to abrasion.
The 5347 range uses undyed fibres of wool, hemp and alpaca to create a soft, luxurious textile for passenger seating with subtle rustic textures.
